Short Description:

The COVNA HK59-D-D pneumatic knife gate valve works when you send compressed air through it. In simple terms, the air pressure pushes a piston that slides a gate up and down, thus controlling the flow in the pipe. This valve has two main parts: the pneumatic actuator at the top and the actual gate valve at the bottom. In order to work properly, you should mount the entire unit horizontally or flat on the pipe. The moving part is a thick gate that slides back and forth in a perpendicular direction to the liquid, rather than rotating like a ball valve or sphere. Due to this design, the valve can only be fully open or fully closed – there is no intermediate throttling action, like with a manual knife gate.
